If you love someone...
I'm not a person who is so much into love relationship. My priority in life is family and friends. Then only life partner comes in. So to me, whatever it is, I always consider after my family and friends first.
If i'm really involved in a love relationship, I hope my other half would understand that I won't put him/her ranking as 1st place in my heart.
What I really want from a love relationship is True Love. And my definition of true love is what comes from a pure heart.
Love is a CHOICE that people make after they are being attracted to certain people and have strong feeling for him/her. Love is a DECISION after you have made, you must be fully committed to it. And fully committed is full responsibility for the relationship and the other half.
Love is not something easy. Both parties must be tolerant, patient, understanding, caring and all the characteristics you can think about when comes to love. It involves great passion and time. It's not something that can be gained within a day.
I think I've gone out of topic. What I'm actually trying to say is:
If you love someone, you don't have to see him/her everyday, every moment, every hour, every minute, every second... Although in your heart you always wish to be with her/him all the time.
If you love someone, you don't have to ask for anything from him/her or request any changes from him/her and just accept him/her the way he/she is... Although you know that those are their weaknesses that they should change.
If you love someone, you give without expecting any return.
If you love someone, you change your weaknesses without being asked to do so.
If you love someone, you forgive endlessly.
If you love someone... (continue yourself)
So if you love someone from your true heart, even a long distance relationship will not do both of you apart. This is a test to your true love.
And if you love someone truly, even a simple smile without any conversation means a thousand words.

Confused
I'm quite lost right now... Really don't know what to do... I'm always thinking of her and yet I don't want to put 100% attention in it because I'm afraid of being hurt again...

Single is Better
Love isn't something wonderful all the time. Maybe I, myself have experienced an unhappy love story before, that's why I have not much confidence in it.
Although lately I have this special feeling towards this person, somehow I feel that I have more burden. It's really funny. When I'm single, I wish to have a partner. When that person really comes, I want to be single, not loving anyone.
All this while I was living happily with my single life. I think I'm getting used to it already. Suddenly when I feel that I love another person other than my family and friends, it became a burden to me.
I don't know why I would feel this way. Maybe my heart is already full with the love I shower to my family members and friends. There's no more space for life partner.
When something is already full, and we insist of adding more things inside, it would be a burden and maybe it would break into pieces.
So for now I think I shall remain single until the time when I'm ready to accept it. When my heart is no longer 100% full.

Finally, again...
After 3 years of being single, I almost forgotten how love is like. I enjoy my single life a lot although sometimes I would still feel lonely and empty in my heart, hoping that I can find my other half. But all this while, my life of being single surrounded by many friends was going very well. I'm happy of that. ^^
However, lately, I have this special feeling towards someone. This feeling is so much like those I have felt before during my first love. No one in these past 3 years has ever made me feel this way. She's the 1st one that make me feel so after so long of being single.
I'm happy to meet her and get to know her. Is really hard for me to describe how I feel now. But if she can make me feel this way, it shows that somehow she has attracted me and has special place in my heart.
This is just the starting...
Our story is to be continued...

Life is about correcting mistakes
Monica married Hitesh this day. At the end of the wedding party, Monica's mother gave her a newly opened bank saving passbook. With Rs.1000 deposit amount.
Mother: 'Monica, take this passbook. Keep it as a record of your marriage life. When there's something happy and memorable happened in your new life, put some money in. Write down what it's about next to the line. The more memorable the event is, the more money you can put in. I've done the first one for you today. Do the others with Hitesh. When you look back after years, you can know how much happiness you've had.'
Monica shared this with Hitesh when getting home. They both thought it was a great idea and were anxious to know when the second deposit can be made. This was what they did after certain time:
- 7 Feb: Rs.100, first birthday celebration for Hitesh after marriage
- 1 Mar: Rs.300, salary raise for Monica
- 20 Mar: Rs.200, vacation trip to Bali
- 15 Apr: Rs.2000, Monica got pregnant
- 1 Jun: Rs.1000, Hitesh got promoted ..... and so on....
However, after years, they started fighting and arguing for trivial things. They didn't talk much. They regretted that they had married the most nasty people in the world.... no more love...Kind of typical nowadays, huh?
One day Monica talked to her Mother: 'Mom, we can't stand it anymore. We agree to divorce. I can't imagine how I decided to marry this guy!!!'
Mother: 'Sure, girl, that's no big deal. Just do whatever you want if you really can't stand it. But before that, do one thing first.. Remember the saving passbook I gave you on your wedding day? Take out all money and spend it first. You shouldn't keep any record of such a poor marriage.'
Monica thought it was true. So she went to the bank, waiting at the queue and planning to cancel the account. While she was waiting, she took a look at the passbook record. She looked, and looked, and looked. Then the memory of all the previous joy and happiness just came up her mind. Her eyes were then filled with tears. She left and went home.
When she was home, she handed the passbook to Hitesh, asked him to spend the money before getting divorce. The next day, Hitesh gave the passbook back to Monica. She found a new deposit of Rs.5000. And a line next to the record: 'This is the day I notice how much I've loved you thru out all these years. How much happiness you've brought me.' They hugged and cried, putting the passbook back to the safe.
Do you know how much money they had saved when they retired? I did not ask.I believe the money did not matter any more after they had gone thru all the good years in their life.
"When you fall, in any way, Don't see the place where you fell, Instead see the place from where you slipped.
Life is about correcting mistakes.

What does love mean?
What does love mean to you? It differs for each human beings. Before you really jump to an answer for the meaning of love, let's scroll down and see what the children aged 4 to 8 years old think about love. Then, think carefully what love really is to you.
'When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love.'
'When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. You just know that your name is safe in their mouth.'
'Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other.'
'Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French fries without making them give you any of theirs.'
'Love is what makes you smile when you're tired.'
'Love is when my mummy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK.'
'Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more. My Mummy and Daddy are like that. They look gross when they kiss'
'Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen.'
'If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate,'
'Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it everyday.'
'Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends even after they know each other so well.'
'During my piano recital, I was on a stage and I was scared. I looked at all the people watching me and saw my daddy waving and smiling. He was the only one doing that. I wasn't scared anymore.'
'My mummy loves me more than anybody. You don't see anyone else kissing me to sleep at night.'
'Love is when Mummy gives Daddy the best piece of chicken.'
'Love is when Mummy sees Daddy smelly and sweaty and still says he is handsomer than Robert Redford.'
'Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day'
'I know my older sister loves me because she gives me all her old clothes and has to go out and buy new ones.'
'When you love somebody, your eyelashes go up and down and little stars come out of you.'
'Love is when Mummy sees Daddy on the toilet and she doesn't think it's gross.'
'You really shouldn't say 'I love you' unless you mean it. But if you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget.'
And the final one comes with a little story. A four year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman had recently lost his wife. Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there. When his Mother asked what he had said to the neighbour, the little boy said, 'Nothing, I just helped him cry'.
Now, how do you feel? Personally, I think that love comprises of 4 circumstances. First, FATE. Second, FEEL. Third, CHOICE. Fourth, COMMITMENT. For the loved ones to be together, they must first have met each other, know each other and bond relationship with them. This is by fate that we know the people we know now. Even family, it is fated that to which family we are born to. Then, when you know someone, you must have different kinds of feelings toward different people. That is when you develop the feel of like or dislike, or strong affection and admiration for certain people. When you have this feel, it is the time when you make choices. To choose whether are you going to live together with them, be committed to them, sacrifice for them and love endlessly. However, choices sometimes not only depend on the individuals but also other parties. When a decision has been made, then those who made it must be responsible for it. They must be committed to the person they have chosen, to the relationship they have engaged in. Never to let that person down.
Love is simple as it seen but is hard as it applied. You may say you love that someone now, but the next day you might even turn your back on that person. This is not love. This is so called the "fake love" which mostly everyone has mistaken for it as LOVE nowadays.
Love is a powerful force. Never underestimate it. And don't play with it. When you say you love someone, MEAN IT! Don't just simply say for fun. It is very disrespect of you to those who are appreciative of the meaning of love.

Marriage
A story on love and marriage...
When I got home that night as my wife served dinner, I held her hand and said, I've got something to tell you. She sat down and ate quietly. Again I observed the hurt in her eyes. Suddenly I didn't know how to open my mouth. But I had to let her know what I was thinking. I want a divorce.
I raised the topic calmly. She didn't seem to be annoyed by my words, instead she asked me softly, why? I avoided her question. This made her angry. She threw away the chopsticks and shouted at me, you are not a man! That night, we didn't talk to each other. She was weeping. I knew she wanted to find out what had happened to our marriage. But I could hardly give her a satisfactory answer; she had lost my heart to Dew. I didn't love her anymore. I just pitied her!
With a deep sense of guilt, I drafted a divorce agreement which stated that she could own our house, our car, and 30% stake of my company. She glanced at it and then tore it into pieces. The woman who had spent ten years of her life with me had become a stranger. I felt sorry for her wasted time, resources and energy but I could not take back what I had said for I loved Dew so dearly.
Finally she cried loudly in front of me, which was what I had expected to see. To me her cry was actually a kind of release. The idea of divorce which had obsessed me for several weeks seemed to be firmer and clearer now. The next day, I came back home very late and found her writing something at the table. I didn't have supper but went straight to sleep and fell asleep very fast because I was tired after an eventful day with Dew. When I woke up, she was still there at the table writing. I just did not care so I turned over and was asleep again.
In the morning she presented her divorce conditions: she didn't want anything from me, but needed a month's notice before the divorce. She requested that in that one month we both struggle to live as normal a life as possible. Her reasons were simple: our son had his exams in a month's time and she didn't want to disrupt him with our broken marriage. This was agreeable to me.
But she had something more, she asked me to recall how I had carried her into out bridal room on our wedding day. She requested that everyday for the month's duration I carry her out of our bedroom to the front door ever morning. I thought she was going crazy. Just to make our last days together bearable I accepted her odd request. I told Dew about my wife's divorce conditions... She laughed loudly and thought it was absurd. No matter what tricks she applies, she has to face the divorce, she said scornfully.
My wife and I hadn't had any body contact since my divorce intention was explicitly expressed. So when I carried her out on the first day, we both appeared clumsy. Our son clapped behind us, daddy is holding mummy in his arms. His words brought me a sense of pain. From the bedroom to the sitting room, then to the door, I walked over ten meters with her in my arms. She closed her eyes and said softly; don't tell our son about the divorce. I nodded, feeling somewhat upset.
I put her down outside the door. She went to wait for the bus to work. I drove alone to the office. On the second day, both of us acted much more easily. She leaned on my chest. I could smell the fragrance of her blouse. I realized that I hadn't looked at this woman carefully for a long time. I realized she was not young any more. There were fine wrinkles on her face, her hair was graying! Our marriage had taken its toll on her.
For a minute I wondered what I had done to her. On the fourth day, when I lifted her up, I felt a sense of intimacy returning. This was the woman who had given ten years of her life to me. On the fifth and sixth day, I realized that our sense of intimacy was growing again. I didn't tell Dew about this. It became easier to carry her as the month slipped by. Perhaps the everyday workout made me stronger.
She was choosing what to wear one morning. She tried on quite a few dresses but could not find a suitable one. Then she sighed, all my dresses have grown bigger. I suddenly realized that she had grown so thin, that was the reason why I could carry her more easily. Suddenly it hit me... she had buried so much pain and bitterness in her heart. Subconsciously I reached out and touched her head.
Our son came in at the moment and said, Dad, it's time to carry mum out. To him, seeing his father carrying his mother out had become an essential part of his life. My wife gestured to our son to come closer and hugged him tightly. I turned my face away because I was afraid I might change my mind at this last minute. I then held her in my arms, walking from the bedroom, through the sitting room, to the hall way.
Her hand surrounded my neck softly and naturally. I held her body tightly; it was just like our wedding day. But her much lighter weight made me sad. On the last day, when I held her in my arms I could hardly move a step. Our son had gone to school.
I held her tightly and said, I hadn't noticed that our life lacked intimacy. I drove to office.... jumped out of the car swiftly without locking the door. I was afraid any delay would make me change my mind... I walked upstairs. Dew opened the door and I said to her, Sorry, Dew, I do not want the divorce anymore. She looked at me, astonished, and then touched my forehead. Do you have a fever? She said. I moved her hand off my head. Sorry, Dew, I said, I won't divorce.
My marriage life was boring probably because she and I didn't value the details of our lives, not because we didn't love each other any more. Now I realize that since I carried her into my home on our wedding day I am supposed to hold her until death do us apart. Dew seemed to suddenly wake up. She gave me a loud slap and then slammed the door and burst into tears. I walked downstairs and drove away.
At the floral shop on the way, I ordered a bouquet of flowers for my wife. The salesgirl asked me what to write on the card. I smiled and wrote, I'll carry you out every morning until death do us apart. That evening I arrived home, flowers in my hands, a smile on my face, I run up stairs, only to find my wife in the bed - dead.
The small details of your lives are what really matter in a relationship. It is not the mansion, the car, property, the money in the bank, blah..blah..blah. These create an environment conducive for happiness but cannot give happiness in themselves. So find time to be your spouse's friend and do those little things for each other that build intimacy. Do have a real happy marriage!
